The Tineco Floor One Switch S7 is a motorized upright vacuum cleaner with two functions. Either a classic upright vacuum cleaner, or a mop vacuum cleaner, for efficient floor cleaning. Although it doesn’t have a self-draining station, it’s still a high-performance machine, and its motorized design is very interesting. But what is it really worth? Let’s find out in this full review of the Tineco Switch S7.
Design and packaging
The Tineco Floor One Switch S7’s box is rather bulky, and for good reason: you have to pack two vacuum cleaners in a single box. However, it’s designed to be fairly compact, with no duplicate parts. The only part to be replaced here is the motor, as we did on the Roborock Dyad Pro Combo.
First, let’s talk about the upright vacuum cleaner. It’s very complete and aesthetically pleasing, with its wash/dry station. Its shape and design seem a little more solid than those of some competitors. There’s also a small transparent plastic plate to protect the station – the first time I’ve seen this on a vacuum cleaner of this type.
On the front, we find the dirty water and waste collection tanks, the latter with a capacity of 850 mL, with the traditional separator between waste and dirty water on the upper part, allowing the two to be dissociated.
Moving up a little, you’ll find the battery and motor that power the vacuum cleaner. This is the part that can be removed from the upright vacuum cleaner, and put on the classic upright vacuum cleaner.
At the top is the handle. The handle features three traditional buttons: the start button, the button for changing the cleaning mode, and the button for automatically cleaning the vacuum cleaner on its base.
Moving to the other side, we note the presence of the clean water tank, which offers a capacity of 720 mL. This is sufficient, and we’re delighted to see one so voluminous.
Let’s move on to the suction and wash head. This consists of a classic brush, unlike other vacuum cleaners which offer two brushes, or a wide one, such as the Osotek H200. Another practical feature is the motorized wheels, found on only a few models. These are motorized both forwards and backwards. They adapt automatically according to the orientation you give the vacuum cleaner.
Now let’s move on to the upright vacuum cleaner, with its accessories, namely a precision brush with extendable bristles, and a mini broom, very practical for cleaning the car in particular, or sofas.
The whole is very well designed, with one vacuum cleaner in black and white, the other predominantly white. On top of the classic upright vacuum cleaner is an empty plastic canister. This does not fill up, but fills the empty space when the motor is not installed, and allows you to remove the filter from the dust container. In terms of usefulness, it’s not really indispensable, but why not?
Finally, a number of accessories are supplied, such as a second roller for the mop vacuum cleaner, a second filter, and a cleaning brush, always handy for removing anything that might be trailing in the mop’s suction ducts.
As with many of its products, Tineco supplies its own cleaning solution.

Suction performance
It’s a pity that the suction power is not indicated anywhere. It just says 250 watts, and that’s about it. As far as the classic vacuum cleaner is concerned, I’ve already noticed that it’s much more pleasant to hold than a traditional multifunction vacuum cleaner! Of course, the Dreame H12 Dual was practical, but here, the handle is designed like a real upright vacuum cleaner, like the Tineco Pure One Station Pet.
It’s much more comfortable to handle, and I greatly appreciate Tineco’s efforts here. However, I don’t really understand the purpose of the small empty bin, which doesn’t open, doesn’t collect anything… and does allow you to remove the filter, but you can remove it by hand!
Suction performance is convincing. The Tineco S7 Switch works to perfection, collecting virtually all floor waste, dust and the like. However, it doesn’t go everywhere like a robot vacuum cleaner like the Dreame X40 Ultra. Corners are difficult to reach with the suction head, even if the result is not bad.
We note the presence of “ZeroTangle technology” here, which is in fact just a kind of comb that sticks to the brush, so as not to block hair / pet hairs on the latter. As with other appliances I’ve tested this on, it works well.
Washing performance
The vacuum mop part is certainly the main part of this unit. What I have to say is that it works very well here too. The suction power, still not communicated by the brand, is sufficient to clean the floor and remove the last dust and other debris left on the floor.
As for me, I first use the classic upright vacuum cleaner, then the mop. The latter is essentially designed for mopping the floor and, from experience, I can say that a simple vacuuming is necessary for a quality wash.
Cleaning is efficient, with three modes:
- Automatic power
- Maximum power
- Suction mode
This last mode is used to suck up liquids from the floor. Be careful, however: never use dishwashing liquid or any other liquid likely to foam, as this will damage the vacuum cleaner.
What I regret, however, is the cleaning of wall edges. Promised by Tineco, it’s not really optimal on such an expensive upright vacuum cleaner, which is a shame. I’m not saying that the Tineco Switch S7 is bad, just that you’ll have to plan to clean baseboard edges more effectively from time to time, by hand. It’s a device that can’t do everything, like a conventional vacuum cleaner in short/ Even with a mop, it’s not possible to clean nooks and crannies to perfection.
A quick note on the motorized wheels, which are a pleasure to use. In fact, they are automatic and adapt to whether you’re moving forwards or backwards, which works well, but beware of slipping on very wet floors.
Tineco S7 Switch autonomy
The Tineco Floor One Switch S7 offers an autonomy of 40 minutes in mop mode, and up to 65 minutes in single stick mode. I recorded around 38 minutes in mop mode and 67 minutes in single-stick mode, with the two minutes obviously transferred from one to the other! On a more serious note, it works very well and the autonomy seems very decent.
For my part, I used the automatic mode every time, even though I’m not a big fan of this feature. The vacuum cleaner adapts itself, of course, but it adapts to the dirt it receives, not to the dirt it’s going to receive, so the suction sometimes gains in power, yes, but a little late. This is the same problem with all models, except the Dreame R10 Pro, which simply didn’t offer an automatic mode.
Tineco application
The Tineco app, free on the AppStore and Google PlayStore, lets you manage some of the S7 Switch’s functions. Although not essential, it is nonetheless handy for setting up your vacuum cleaner more fully.
Configuration is straightforward: all you need to do is activate Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your smartphone, and connect to a 2.4 GHz network only. If you have independent Wi-Fi routers, this is the best solution.
On the Tineco app, you can set the suction mode, but you can already do this on the vacuum cleaner with the click of a button. The interesting feature here, however, is that you can set the parameters for each vacuum mode, adjusting both suction power and water volume. There’s even a DIY mode, allowing you to fully customize the suction power, which will automatically be added to the vacuum cleaner once activated.
In the settings, you can choose which cleaning process to use, i.e. either water or water with the cleaning solution supplied by Tineco.
Voice volume can also be set, and the brush lamp can be deactivated. You can also set the speed of the wheels, either slow, medium or fast. I’d recommend sticking to medium speed, but avoiding fast speed in all cases.
Tineco Floor One Switch S7 : Reviews
The Tineco Floor One Switch S7 is a very good upright vacuum cleaner. This model is super complete and interesting, but I’m waiting for a “Pro” or “Ultra” version, with an automatic emptying station for the suction part. Otherwise, there’s nothing to complain about, the vacuum cleaner works very well, but the price is high. While the functions and ergonomics are very interesting, you can find cheaper products from other manufacturers.
