The Roborock Flexi Pro isn’t “yet another new upright vacuum cleaner” on the market, it’s an upright vacuum cleaner that meets quite a few user needs, offering something high-performance and super-flexible. Featuring motorized wheels, an ultra-sober look and almost foolproof flexibility, let’s see what it’s really worth.
Roborock Flexi Pro design
If this vacuum cleaner isn’t like the others, it’s for a good reason. A far cry from the Dyad Pro and Tineco Floor One S7 Pro, the Flexi Pro opts for a clean, uncluttered look, making it a truly designer upright vacuum cleaner. What you can find on the market today isn’t really, apart from a few elaborate models, but here Roborock turns the tables with a white face, making the clean water used for washing invisible.
Do we really need to see the clean water in the tank when the vacuum cleaner tells us when it’s empty? I don’t think so. However, the tank is quite compact, hollowing out in the middle to make room for the battery in the center of the unit. The tank seems small, but can hold up to 750 mL of water.
On the back is the dirty water and waste tank, which can hold up to 450 mL of water – not much, but a good thing. The less water you use, the more often you empty the appliance, the less likely it is that unpleasant odours will develop. Incidentally, we recommend emptying the tank after each use. The tank is also slightly transparent. But the device also indicates when it’s full.
The Roborock Flexi Pro’s handle is also highly designed and crafted for an ultra-sober aesthetic. However, the practical side is slightly less included here, as the buttons for starting the device and changing the cleaning mode are small. Likewise, the button for starting the Flexi Pro’s automatic cleaning function is mounted on the front, making it impractical to activate.
On the lower part, the motorized wheels, with a rubber cover, look like mini tractor or quad wheels. On the front, it’s the cleaning roller that takes its place, which is not installed on the device when it arrives, but is supplied at the very top of the box, which isn’t very disturbing.
Here, unlike devices like the Dyad Pro Combo, the Flexi Pro offers just one cleaning roller. But is floor cleaning really any less effective as a result? Not at all!
As for the charging, cleaning and drying station, it’s rather thick, unlike what you’ll find with competitors, but it allows you to clean the roller and dry it with hot air. There’s also a cable grommet underneath, allowing the latter to be stored properly, with a well-thought-out gutter.

Washing performance
Before talking about washing performance, let’s talk about the Roborock Flexi Pro’s maneuverability. It’s not a bad machine, and for good reason: the name “Flexi” indicates that you can twist it in all directions. You can turn it without worry, tilt it to one side or the other and not just a little, which is very practical indeed.
The other advantage is the motorized wheels. They are motorized both forwards and backwards. This has the advantage of minimizing the effort required to move the machine forward. However, there are a few minor glitches, particularly on wet ground. After 2 or 3 passes over the same spot, the device may remain in reverse and not switch back to forward, with the wheels slipping on the ground.
However, a pass over a dry part of the floor quickly solves the problem.
So the promise in terms of cleaning performance is: impeccable cleaning, even on the edges, and please, on both sides. And in reality? The Flexi Pro does indeed clean well, and does so without steam, like the Tineco S7 Steam. However, the “edge-to-edge” aspect seems a little audacious.
Sure, it’s possible, but this upright vacuum isn’t the best in the business, where the Tineco Floor One S7 Pro remains excellent. This isn’t dramatic either, but the promise isn’t absolutely fulfilled. Let’s just say that on stubborn stains, it will really struggle on the edges, where small superficial stains will be easily manageable.
Autonomy
The Flexi Pro’s claimed autonomy is 50 minutes, but that’s what the brand claims. In fact, in energy-saving mode, it lasts between 48 and 51 minutes, depending on how you use the device.
On the other hand, if you switch to automatic mode, autonomy starts to drop, and if you switch to “max” mode, autonomy drops even faster, to under 20 minutes. If you read me often, I like to use a device to the maximum of its capacity, so the autonomy with me is not very long. However, there’s nothing dramatic about that, it’s a personal choice.
If you use this upright vacuum cleaner at a lower intensity, you won’t have to worry about its autonomy.
Roborock application
This isn’t a robot vacuum cleaner, yet the manufacturer does offer an app for the Flexi Pro, and a complete and useful one this time, which I’ll explore below.
Set-up is pretty straightforward: just remove the clean water tank to find the QR-Code, which makes it very easy to set up the device in the app. Once this is done, we connect to a Wi-Fi network. As always, make sure you have a 2.4 GHz network to connect this type of device.
Set-up is quick, and you now have access to a beautiful home page, allowing you to start either auto-cleaning or roller drying.
In the quick additional settings, it’s possible to choose the cleaning mode, as well as the water temperature for cleaning the roller. Initially, washing is carried out at 60°C for a complete and clean result, with drying at 55°C, allowing the roller to dry quickly. However, it is possible to change the water setting.
Drying can be automatic, which I strongly recommend, for 30, 60 or 90 minutes. Admittedly, this consumes a little energy, but you’ll be delighted not to have to clean your roller by hand every week.
In the more in-depth settings, it’s possible to unlock to automatically resume cleaning, which is indeed very practical and should be a matter of course. In other words, when you unfold the vacuum cleaner from its “standby” or “off” position, cleaning resumes automatically, nothing extraordinary about that. Likewise, the light on the cleaning head can be switched on or off.
It is also possible to program intelligent drying, but I don’t find this logical. Why not? Because drying should take place after each floor-washing session, and therefore, roller cleaning, not all at once at a specific time of day. Let me remind you that this is a mop vacuum cleaner, not a robot vacuum cleaner. It is therefore operated by hand, not automatically.
It’s possible to switch the machine’s voice to French, and of course, to adjust the volume. Fortunately, it’s less talkative than the Tineco S7 Steam – phew!
Finally, in the “maintenance” section, you’ll find the status of the filter and the roller, with an estimate of the number of operating hours. However, the floor detergent mentioned in the application is not supplied with the unit. As always, if you see that the roller is still in good condition, simply cleaning it with a brush and washing-up liquid will suffice.
Roborock Flexi Pro: Reviews
The Roborock Flexi Pro is a high-performance upright vacuum cleaner that’s really worth a look. Its flexible design means it can go anywhere, and is agile and highly flexible. Its motorized wheels are also very practical, with a few minor flaws, but that won’t be the first, nor the last for that matter.
The Flexi Pro is good, admittedly not the best for skirting board edges, but on the whole it’s fully satisfactory.
