The Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro Omni is a high-performance robot vacuum cleaner from Ecovacs, boasting exceptional suction power of 11,000 pascal. But that’s not all this innovative robot vacuum cleaner has up its sleeve. In fact, it features rotating pads, one of which can be swivelled, to keep the edges of walls clean. Let’s see what this Deebot T30 Pro Omni is really worth.
Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro Omni design
The Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro Omni’s design is quite different from anything I’ve tested before. Indeed, this high-performance robot vacuum cleaner is different from the Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni or Dreame L20 Ultra. With its much more rounded look and transparent water tanks, indeed, the look is radically different, but first let’s talk about the vacuum cleaner, before evoking its charging, emptying, cleaning, drying station and so on.
The look of the vacuum cleaner
After testing the Winbot W2 Omni window-cleaning robot, it’s the turn of another robot vacuum cleaner. Unlike the Deebot X2, the Deebot T30 Pro Omni is round in shape, and Ecovacs doesn’t innovate much in the way of design. However, the innovations lie elsewhere. If we start by looking at the front of the device, we notice various sensors, as well as a camera, enabling obstacle recognition. Indeed, if an obstacle proves disturbing, the built-in AI recognizes it and stops the device before it touches it.
On the edges, we also find sensors, but above all, as on the front, the traditional anti-shock bumper. This is a standard feature on all robot vacuums, from the cheapest to the most high-end. Here, however, it is used as a “last resort”, as the T30 Pro Omni is designed to detect obstacles upstream. However, it is used for exact edge detection.
The rear of the machine houses the charging connectors and the water filling nozzle. As a reminder, this unit washes with hot water, so you need to heat up the water before sending it out for a cleaning session, but the station takes care of everything.
On the top of the T30 Pro Omni, you’ll find the removable cover, magnetic by the way, which can be removed entirely. I don’t find this as practical as an opening hatch, but that’s how the manufacturer has made its vacuum cleaner. You’ll only need to remove the cover for two reasons:
- Connect the vacuum cleaner to your smartphone app using the QR-Code
- Manually empty the waste collection bin, which isn’t very useful as it empties automatically.
Also on the top are the traditional three buttons for :
- Start a cleaning cycle
- return to the loading / emptying / washing / drying station
- Target an area to be cleaned
The small turret above is also very useful, housing the LiDAR sensor, which maps the workpiece. But that’s not all, because the Deebot T30 Pro Omni comes with three microphones, not to tell you the weather or listen in on your conversations, but to activate the vacuum cleaner’s voice assistant. The latter can operate by voice, without even having to take out your smartphone or touch the vacuum cleaner.
When you get underneath the unit, you notice quite a few things. Firstly, like all robot vacuums, it’s equipped with numerous anti-drop sensors, as well as material sensors to raise the pads if it climbs onto a carpet. There’s also a central brush, the only one here, unlike competitors like the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, which has two.
What’s really interesting about the T30 Pro Omni, however, are the rotary pads. They’re not a new invention, they’ve been around for a long time. However, here, as on the Roborock Q Revo and Dreame L20 Ultra, or the Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat, the pad on the right moves to clean the edges perfectly.
This is a big advantage here, because the edges of walls will also be well cleaned, whereas this is not always the case with a conventional robot vacuum cleaner, if ever. Only vacuum cleaners with a simple mop do this, and even then, not in the most optimal way.
The look of the charging station
The charging station is quite a change from what I’ve been used to lately. However, it does allow the unit to be positioned under certain pieces of furniture or in certain places where other vacuum cleaners don’t fit at all.
The waste collection bag is quite large, with a capacity of 3.4 liters. You can buy them on Amazon, on the brand’s website, but I recommend buying them cheaper on AliExpress. The cover of this area, on the other hand, is removed by pulling on it from both sides; it’s not a drawer or a trapdoor attached as on other references from the brand.
Where the Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro Omni stands out from the competition, and even from its congeners, is in its clean and dirty water tanks. The latter are long this time, and not very high. They do, however, take up the entire width of the unit. This is more practical, as they take up less space in height, while retaining a good water capacity.
In fact, the clean water tank can hold up to 4 liters of water and the dirty water tank up to 3.5 liters, which is about average for robot vacuums of this type.
On the back of the station, there’s plenty of space to plug it in and, of course, to store the cable properly. On the inside, however, you’ll find places to clean the skates, and the station in fact sits on the base integrating all this.

Vacuum performance
First of all, it’s important to note the unit’s suction power, which is 11,000 Pa. This is enormous, and the gain in performance is colossal compared with a Dreame L20 Ultra and its 7,000 Pa suction power. But is such power really useful?
The answer is mixed. Yes, because it removes everything that’s lying around on the floor and can be removed, but also anything that’s a little stuck and can be removed with the help of the brush. However, in absolute terms, 5000 Pa is enough power to clean the floor effectively. Vacuum performance is therefore very good on almost all floor types, having tested the Deebot T30 Pro Omni on the following surfaces:
- Tiles
- Lino
- Short-pile carpets
On short-pile carpets, on the other hand, not all cat hair is removed as well as with a vacuum cleaner with rubber brushes, but it’s still effective. Here, however, the brush features “ZeroTangle” technology, which means, in other words, that the hairs don’t wrap around it.
This is made possible by a kind of comb built into the vacuum cleaner, preventing the bristles from sticking to the brush. It’s very practical indeed, and saves a lot of inefficiency. Because when you use this kind of appliance, you don’t tend to check underneath it very often, if at all. However, it’s important to check that the system isn’t blocked. With ZeroTangle technology, all is well!
Finally, as regards the vacuuming performance of the Deebot T30 Pro Omni, it’s excellent, everything is picked up, I didn’t find any waste that wasn’t sucked up into the bowels of the vacuum cleaner, in other words, into its 300 mL capacity collection bin. It sometimes ejects a little on the sides with its side brush, but that’s unavoidable with all models.
Washing performance
Washing the floor with water thanks to the rotating pads is very practical. However, this method is a little overpriced, and while it’s effective, it’s not radically efficient either. Some vibrating mops manage to do just as well, if not better.
Here, however, I’m satisfied with its performance, despite the fact that it doesn’t break the bank. This vacuum cleaner cleans the floor well, and I like the extra feature of being able to shift the pad to the right to clean the edges of skirting boards, ideal for impeccable wall edges.
In practice, it works well, cleaning the edges of walls properly, but it’s not a miracle solution either. In other words, if there are obstacles, it won’t be able to go around them if they don’t allow it.
Once the Deebot T30 Pro Omni has finished washing the room, it goes on to wash its pads. The Deebot T30 Pro Omni is then returned to its charging station, where it begins to wash the pads with hot water for optimum cleaning, and then dries the pads with hot air to prevent the build-up of unpleasant odors and mildew.
Configuration and Ecovacs application
The Ecovacs application is as complete as ever, intuitive enough and very practical to use. It’s easy to set all the device’s parameters.
Once the robot vacuum cleaner is connected to a 2.4 GHz network only (no 5 GHz connection), you can continue configuring, naming and updating it. I strongly advise you to connect it to your box, or to a Wi-Fi router whose 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands are separated into two different SSIDs.
Next, the device introduces us to its big new feature, Yiko, its voice assistant. It’s not a revolution, and there’s nothing extraordinary about it, but it’s handy for certain users and functions. Yiko is available in French, with a variety of different voices.
Three voice tones are available in French, with Brigitte, Eloise and Alain. For my part, I’ve stuck with the first.
Let’s move on to the control panel, where you’ll find the station’s features and, above all, the vacuum cleaner’s parameters. It’s also possible to adjust the latter’s parameters, with more or less powerful cleaning, in several phases, etc.
These settings include suction power, cleaning precision, number of passes, water flow rate, as well as the order of mopping and vacuuming. Either mop only, or vacuum only, or both at the same time, or one then the other. I’ve opted for the latter, which I find more efficient.
It’s also possible to program the vacuum cleaner to run at certain times. In my case, the appliance comes into the house every day at 3 p.m., at least on weekdays, and automatically cleans the entire first floor. This setting can be activated and started once the first mapping has been done, however.
In the vacuum cleaner settings, you can also change the frequency of automatic mop cleaning. In other words, the vacuum cleaner returns to the station to clean it. Not a bad thing for a clean floor. Drying is done with hot air for 2, 3 or 4 hours, and automatic emptying takes place when the collection bin is a little full.
In the other settings, you can activate the “Do not disturb” mode, so that the robot and its station are completely silent. 3D TrueDetect sensitivity identifies and avoids obstacles, and can be set to standard or more sensitive mode.
The foot control is very practical, allowing you to resume cleaning when paused for any reason. However, as I’m working while it’s cleaning, this function isn’t essential for me.
Once the map has been generated by the application, you can observe the different room zones created by the Deebot T30 Pro Omni, and clean either a room, a zone, all automatically, or create scenarios.
Finally, the detail I like most about the iPhone is the display on the lock screen of the cleaning task in progress. All you get is this information, with no additional details, but it’s always handy. In any case, the application is ultra-complete, for a vacuum cleaner at the opposite end of the spectrum from the Vactidy Nimble T7, at the same time as the price is markedly different.
Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro Omni maintenance
Thanks to ZeroTangle technology, maintenance is very simple, and there’s no need to rummage under the vacuum to see if any hairs are stuck. Having used it for around 2 weeks and having a Siberian cat at home, I’m not worried about it.
The clean water tank needs to be refilled every week, with daily vacuuming, or even less often, depending on the intensity of floor cleaning you choose. Personally, I always choose the maximum intensity, so I fill the tank every week for simplicity’s sake. The dirty water tank also needs emptying every week. As for the collection bag, it can be replaced every two months or so, but depending on how full it is, it can sometimes last up to three months or more.
When it comes to buying bags and parts that may no longer function optimally, I advise you to use AliExpress, as it’s less expensive. The app indicates that each part has so many hours of use left, but it’s best to check for yourself.
Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro Omni autonomy
The claimed autonomy of the Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro Omni is 290 minutes, i.e. 5h50 of autonomy. I don’t believe this for a second, as the unit is equipped with a 5200 mAh battery, like 95% of other robot vacuum cleaners on the market. None of them can clean for 5 hours.
However, here, with fairly light cleaning parameters, and therefore performance that remains average – in other words, you have to run it 2 times a day – it’s possible to keep it going for almost 3 hours. However, it needs to recharge with water during this cycle.
At maximum performance, which is what I always use, autonomy is around 1 hour 20 minutes, which is still very decent, and once the machine is running at full power, it’s plenty of time to clean my 30 m² first floor. If you have larger surfaces, up to 100 m² or more, in 1h20, the vacuum cleaner will have finished cleaning, so don’t worry.
Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro Omni: Reviews
The Ecovacs Deebot T30 Pro Omni could pass for “just another robot vacuum cleaner”, but it’s much better than that. It’s a high-performance robot vacuum cleaner that offers real functionality in the face of the competition. In particular, the very practical wall edge cleaning, as well as the original and not unpleasant looking station, not forgetting the comb to prevent cat hair tangling.
