At IFA 2024, HONOR presented three major innovations in the field of mobile artificial intelligence (AI): a PC powered by the Snapdragon® X Elite platform, an intelligent assistant called AI Agent, and advanced deepfake detection technology. These advances were unveiled at a panel discussion attended by George Zhao, CEO of HONOR, Alex Katouzian, General Manager of the MCX Group at Qualcomm Technologies, and Mark Linton, Vice President of Partner Sales at Microsoft.
AI for the PC: a new era with the HONOR MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon
The Honor MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon embodies the vision of AI applied to personal computers. This PC, powered by the Snapdragon X Elite platform, combines cutting-edge AI functionality with lightweight engineering. Weighing just 1 kg and 1 cm thick, it stands out as one of the thinnest and lightest notebooks on the market. It features a 14.6-inch touchscreen with 3.1K resolution and a 97% screen-to-body ratio.
This new generation of computers enables a smooth transition from Windows applications on X86 to Windows architecture on Snapdragon. Honor has optimized performance with an AI library that improves start-up time by 16% and optimizes the translation of essential applications such as browsers, online meeting software and office tools.
HONOR MagicRing: seamless inter-OS connectivity
The HONOR MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon also integrates into the MagicRing ecosystem, an inter-OS connectivity solution that enables users to manage multiple devices seamlessly. Unlike traditional manual connections, MagicRing enables smooth, secure interaction between various devices connected to the same account. This includes features such as using a keyboard and mouse on multiple devices, receiving calls on different terminals and remote control of a smartphone camera via a PC.
AI Agent: an intelligent integrated assistant
Honor’s AI Agent, also unveiled at IFA 2024, is designed to simplify users’ lives by automating complex tasks. This personal assistant uses language analysis and user interface recognition technologies to respond intelligently to user requests. It learns from users’ habits and environments to make autonomous decisions across various applications and services.
Scheduled for integration in the next Honor Magic 7 series, the AI Agent represents a breakthrough in AI interaction, enabling increased productivity and a simplified user experience.
AI deepfake detection: advanced protection against misinformation
Honor has also introduced AI deepfake detection technology to address growing concerns about the fraudulent use of this technology. The system analyzes visual elements such as pixel imperfections, inter-frame coherence and compositional artifacts, making it possible to accurately identify altered content. This technology aims to protect users against the risks of misinformation and identity theft.
With these innovations, HONOR is demonstrating its commitment to pushing back the boundaries of mobile AI, while guaranteeing secure, seamless use of the technology in everyday life.
