At Gamescom 2024, German PC component manufacturer Be Quiet! unveiled a new series of consumer cases, led by the Pure Base 501.
The Pure Base 501: a new compact case
The Pure Base 501 follows in the footsteps of the previously tested Pure Base 500, a highly successful case that has won several awards for its simplicity and practical features. This new model aims to offer a flexible, compact solution for users looking for a case with a sober design and no ARGB equipment.
The case is compatible with motherboards in ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX formats. It features two 140 mm Pure Wings 3 PWM fans on the front and rear for efficient cooling. It also supports the installation of watercooling radiators up to 360 mm and allows optional vertical installation of graphics cards.
The Pure Base 501 includes a double hard disk rack for versatile storage options, and offers clever cable management to keep the interior tidy. Several versions of the case will be available from November 2024, offering options focused either on silence or optimized airflow. Versions include:
- Pure Base 501 Black: Solid front, metal panel – €89.90
- Pure Base 501 Airflow Black: Mesh front, metal panel – €94.90
- Pure Base 501 Airflow White: Mesh front, metal panel – €99.90
- Pure Base 501 Airflow Window Black: Mesh front, glass panel – €104.90
- Pure Base 501 Airflow Window White: Mesh front, glass panel – €109.90
Each model comes with a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.
New from ARGB: Light Base and Light Wings
In addition to the Pure Base 501, Be Quiet! also presented its new Light product range at Gamescom, which includes the panoramic Light Base 900 FX and Light Base 600 LX cases, AIO Light Loop cooling systems (available in 360 mm and 240 mm versions), and ARGB Light Wings LX fans (available in 140 mm and 120 mm, in classic and high-speed versions).
These products, which were unveiled at Computex in Taipei earlier this year, were well received by press and visitors alike. The official launch of these new ARGB solutions is scheduled for the third and fourth quarters of 2024. Gamescom visitors can discover these products on the Be Quiet! stand, and learn more about features such as ultra-flexible 30-second case inversion and return to horizontal desktop orientation.
