The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series seems to be getting closer, as evidenced by recent appearances of the tablet on certification sites. A new leak, shared by Android Headlines, reveals what could be the Tab S10 range. The images suggest that the new tablet models retain a very similar design to last year’s Galaxy Tab S9 series.
No more basic models, only larger formats
The leak seems to confirm rumors that Samsung will be dropping the basic 11-inch Galaxy Tab S10 model this year. Instead, the brand would focus solely on the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Tab S10 Ultra models, so far mirroring the previous versions, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra and S9 Plus. The images show the Tab S10 Plus in two colors: a silver-white and a darker graphite-gray, options that could also be available for the larger model, the Tab S10 Ultra.
Although the design is reminiscent of the previous year’s, there could be minor changes, such as a lighter or thinner chassis. The Tab S10 Ultra retains its characteristic notch, and the image shows it running the Samsung Notes app, with voice note transcription functionality in evidence. This suggests that Samsung will be emphasizing its latest artificial intelligence features with these new tablets.
A MediaTek processor and no Snapdragon
The leaked images don’t reveal many more details, but previous leaks have suggested that the Tab S10 series could be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity chips instead of the usual Snapdragon 8-series processors. This, in order to maintain a decent price for high-end tablets.
Launch scheduled for October
The Galaxy Tab S10 series is scheduled for launch in October, potentially at an event where it could be unveiled alongside the Galaxy S24 FE. This launch will also mean potential improvements in terms of performance and AI, while maintaining a familiar design for users.
